Merlino Marble & Granite
Industry Setting – Merlino Marble & Granite was almost a faded dream by June of 2007 because of the struggle to secure funding for a building and the initial fabrication equipment.
Challenge – Launch into the industry with enough momentum to quickly generate income to cover the large overhead expense of the initial equipment, product and labor.
Strategy – Correctly manage the P&L ledger, internal systems and develop a strong visual identity that would differentiate Merlino Marble & Granite from the saturated US market.
Result – Within the first 12 months this (at the time) 7-man shop had fabricated and installed stone in the US Capital Building, Princeton University and Goldman Sachs’ corporate offices.
